In lieu of learning my camera, I am starting a "Wordless Wednesday" picture series.

Capes!

Reversible capes for the kids! So I have come to
the conclusion that procrastination is the best
motivation. It seems that I would rather sew than
train for my half marathon...but the half will not run
itself...so I must return to running in the mornings.
There are much fewer excuses at 530am.
But the kids so love their capes!

Missouri Highlights

Oh what fun we had in Missouri! We saw family,
friends, Silver Dollar City, went on roller coasters,
played in the rain, and much more.

Could you drink out of this water fountain?

Hands up on the roller coaster!

Taking a nap with Papa
Lucky...the living Pillow Pet
No highchair...not a problem. Nana has phonebooks!

What is the stuff falling from the sky? Let's play
in the rain.

Kate wants to drive and Nic is just fine with lounging!

Playing in new house

Do I know my kids? I made sure to reinforce the
windows extra well.
First snack in their new house
It's an excellent place to read too!

New House

Small space requires ingenuity. I made a "house"
coverlet for our dining table. It now doubles as the
kids play house! And stores away small and easily!
I do need to hem it, but I ran out of time before the
kids came home from school.

Now I want to add flowers and decals to it!

The other side is the "boy" side. It has blue dog paw
print fabric and dog window trim.

Look how fast

I'm practicing my panning shot skills. Here are some of the
better ones. Look how fast she is! Next time, I will be sure the
background has more contrast.

Almost Mug Shot-Nic

Kind of resembles a mug shot.

Alphabet board

This is what I have come up with since our fridge isn't magnetic.
The kids LOVE IT! (yes, my kids are naked AGAIN).

I got an alphabet poster for a teaching store and used rubber cement to paste it to the metal. The oil pan had a grease coating on it which came off with SimpleGreen. I didn't want to put (or try to put a hole in it for hanging) a hole in it so I use the 3M picture hanging velcro. It worked famously and at only 22 months old! When the master the alphabet, I hope to make a new board with phonic sounds.
